This weeks D.I.Y. wedding project is one of my current favorite decor pieces at weddings! The examples I made are VERY simple but I think bunting banners are the most adorable things and they can really be used for so many different parts of the wedding day. For example, you could make one that says “cards” and put it under the card box table at the reception, or one that says “just married” for the back of your wedding vehicle. At one of my most recent weddings, the bride made one that said “thank you” and she and the groom held it up in a picture to put on their thank you cards! The possibilities are endless! My friend Rachel even made one for their engagement session which I absolutely LOVED!! She actually took the time to sew fabric letters onto white material so it’s quite a bit more complex and time consuming but you can check it out here!
So here’s what you need:
- white acrylic paint ($1.97 from Walmart!)
- yarn ($.99 from Walmart!)
- burlap ($5.95/meter at Fabricland)
- glue gun
