I had this idea to write letters to our sweet little babes. I want to remember everything about this beautiful journey and then to be able to share it with them some day. I have been writing letters periodically since the beginning, some are more eventful and some more personal and sentimental. I thought I’d share one once and a while so below is my 18 week letter…
Dear Baby Twins,
We are just smitten about you. Your dad and I just look at each other some nights and can’t believe that we’ve been blessed with this beautiful gift. It’s something we both never imagined in a million years. A few weeks ago, we both felt you kicking for the first time. We kept our hands on my belly while we watched a movie and sure enough after a lot of patient waiting, we felt some movement. It was so surreal, so special. It brought tears to my eyes. A few weeks went by where I didn’t feel too much, just the odd tiniest kick. Then this past Sunday, on mothers day, I began to feel you little munchkins A LOT and it hasn’t stopped since! Sometimes it feels like you’re doing summersaults in my belly or perhaps having a little dance party for two?
We had our third midwife appointment on Tuesday and we were able to hear both your heart beats loud and strong. I am 18 weeks along and measuring at 23! They said that was normal for a twin pregnancy. I haven’t had many cravings for specific foods as of yet. I am just hungry ALL the time. A bowl of cheerios is my favorite snack as of late. I went through a full box myself (with your help of course) in a week! (oops!) Some nights I find it a little uncomfortable to sleep, but that’s ok. It just means you’re both growing! I think it may be time to invest in a pregnancy pillow though..
We love you little babies, all the way to the moon and back. We pray for you all the time. Keep dancing and take care of each other in there…

The photos below were taken by Ron. Next week we find out the genders of our sweet little peas! (yes! we’ve decided to!) Any guesses?????
